Labor & Delivery RN Job Requirements\n
    \n
  • At least 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience
  • \n
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; pending state license accepted with required timeline for licensure in hand before start
  • \n
  • BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications required
  • \n
  • Experience with fetal monitoring required
  • \n
  • Epic electronic health record (EHR) experience required
  • \n
  • Ability to work every other weekend and 2 of 3 winter holidays
  • \n
  • Strong clinical judgment in high-risk and low-risk obstetric care
  • \n
  • BSN preferred
  • \n
Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Provide safe, compassionate care to laboring, antepartum, postpartum, and triage patients
  • \n
  • Circulate for cesarean sections and assist with OB procedural care
  • \n
  • Monitor fetal status and recognize and report changes in maternal or fetal condition promptly
  • \n
  • Support high-risk obstetric patients, including those with preeclampsia, diabetes, preterm labor, and hypertensive disorders
  • \n
  • Care for low-risk and certified nurse midwife populations as needed
  • \n
  • Cross-train to Mother/Baby and assist with NICU feeder/grower care when floated
  • \n
  • Administer medications and support interventions such as magnesium sulfate therapy and IV management
  • \n
  • Collaborate with physicians, midwives, respiratory therapy, and other interdisciplinary team members to promote excellent patient outcomes
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and contribute to a positive, team-oriented unit culture
