Communication:
- Maintains open communication with the Director of Nursing regarding departmental concerns and opportunities.
- Ensures effective communication with charge nurses, department supervisors and medical staff regarding changes, progress or concerns related to the nursing department.
- Communicates plan, interventions, and expected outcome to patients and family with respect and courtesy
Timeliness
· Always ready to begin duties on time at the start of each shift.
· Returns promptly from breaks and meals.
· Always provides timely and proper notification for absences and tardiness, following facility policy for call time, PTO and PTO Sick Time.

Requirements
SD Board of Nursing – RN Licensure
NRP and STABLE (for OB trained staff)
Must possess knowledge and conform to SDCL 36-9-1 through 36-9-97 (Accessible via SD Board of Nursing Website).
· Should have full mobility for bending and stooping as well as the ability to participate in vigorous activity.
· Position does require bending, stooping, very heavy lifting (with a partner), and maneuvering patients onto and off of a stretcher.
· Must possess near vision acuity for accurate reading of equipment and recording on patient charts.
