- Job Summary:
Ensures timely delivery of goods to predetermined customers on specific routes, reviewing orders prior to delivery, loading and unloading of trucks and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain vehicle in a neat and tidy condition daily.
- Carry out regular vehicle/equipment checks as directed daily.
- Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving.
- Pack and load products onto trucks.
- Deliver orders to customers on assigned routes.
- Unload goods as per client specifications.
- Review deliveries with customers to ensure products meet their needs.
- Obtain delivery confirmations.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Communicate effectively in verbal and written form.
- Understand and abide by safety guidelines.
- Thorough Knowledge of traffic laws and defense driving.
- Ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions.
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Class A Commercial Driver's License.
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 1 to 2 years of driving experience.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
- Employees are required to perform the following physical demands.
- Sit, stand, walk, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time.
- Employees will be required to pick up, gather, and or distribute materials of various weights up to 50Ibs.
