Job Summary: Seeking Physician Assistant for busy Urology practice. Experience is a plus. Open to new grad PA's.

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Full time
  • 40 hours
  • Typical hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00pm with flexibility to work shifts between 730am to 6pm based on patient care needs and travel to office locations in Livingston, Stirling, and procedure locations in Essex County.


Essential Functions:

  • Support the physician by providing coverage with evaluation, treatment, and documentation of service for patients requiring orthopedic care in both the operating and office environment.
  • Assists physician during office hours including preoperative and postoperative instructions.
  • Provides dictation support and documentation of patient encounters and letters of Medical Necessity.
  • Prepares discharge letters and make post-op calls to referring physicians.
  • Reviews charts preoperatively and documents any pertinent information.
  • Provides coverage with residents, fellows and other advanced practitioners covering provider on-call schedules.
  • Liaisons between physician and outside consulting physicians regarding patient care.
  • Performs assessment and reassessment of the patient according to applicable department standards and identified tools.
  • Assists physician during hospital rounds with post-op patients and with research as needed.
  • Participates in and contributes to orthopedic educational activities for appropriate internal and external parties.
