Business Development Manager (Village Roadshow Greece)
About the Role
Village Roadshow (member of Antenna Group) is a leading entertainment brand, best known for its cinemas, delivering an unparalleled movie-going experience to over 3 million viewers annually.
Village Cinemas is expanding its strategic growth footprint and is looking for a new addition to its Business Development Department. As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in identifying, building, and monetizing new revenue streams beyond the traditional cinema model. Your mission is to elevate existing non-core business pillars (such as school visits, educational programs, kids’ parties, alternative screenings, B2B events, corporate screenings, activations, venue rentals) and to proactively generate innovative commercial opportunities that strengthen Village Cinemas’ position as the leading entertainment destination in Greece. This role is ideal for a commercially driven professional with prior experience in Business Development, Sales, or Commercial roles, combined with a strong marketing mindset and the ability to translate insights into actionable growth plans.
Job Description
Strategic Growth & Revenue Development
- Identify, evaluate, and execute new revenue opportunities across non-traditional cinema categories.
- Develop annual business plans for each vertical, setting clear KPIs, revenue targets, and growth strategies.
- Conduct market research to spot upcoming trends and propose new concepts or offerings that align with Village Cinemas’ brand and customer base.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of B2B clients including agencies, corporations, schools, associations, event organizers, and brand partners.
- Nurture long-term partnerships that drive recurring and scalable revenue.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the Marketing, Operations, Cinema Management, Commercial, F&B, and Finance teams to ensure seamless execution of initiatives.
- Coordinate with in-house creative and marketing teams to develop pitch materials, presentations, and promotional assets for each vertical.
- Liaise with external partners (event planners, educational bodies, sponsors, agencies) when needed.
Concept Development & Innovation
- Propose new business ideas and experiential offerings that enhance the cinema experience, attract new audiences, and strengthen the Village Cinemas ecosystem.
- Create business cases for new initiatives including financial projections, operational requirements, and go-to-market plans.
- Monitor performance and recommend optimizations based on data insights and customer feedback.
Operational Execution & Performance Tracking
- Oversee the implementation of approved initiatives, ensuring high-quality delivery and guest satisfaction.
- Track KPIs, produce monthly business development reports, and present results to senior management.
- Ensure all B2B and alternative events run smoothly by coordinating with the appropriate internal teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commercial Management or other related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Commercial, or Account Management roles.
- Proven track record of building B2B partnerships or generating new revenue streams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Data-driven mindset, with the ability to prepare financial projections and evaluate business performance.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Strong project management, problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail

- Fluency in Greek and English (written & verbal).
Preferred
- Experience in entertainment, retail, education, media, or events.
- Strong marketing background (degree and/or relevant professional experience will be a plus).
- Familiarity with CRM tools, lead scoring, and pipeline management (e.g., Salesforce).
- Creative thinking and an entrepreneurial mindset.
