Cath Lab Technologist - Cardiac Cath Lab Tech II
Job Details:
• Full-time weekdays 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM with one variable weekday off per week
• On-call required: 1 weekend per month (5:00 PM Friday to 6:30 AM Monday) and 4 weeknights per month (5:00 PM to 6:30 AM next day)
• No weekend commitment outside of on-call responsibilities
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a cath/EP lab required
• Must be able to scrub for all types of heart caths, peripheral vascular, structural heart, and EP procedures
• Preferably RCIS or RCES licensure; ARRT licensure acceptable with scrub experience in cath lab
• ACLS and BLS certification required
• Knowledge of Merge Hemo documentation system preferred
• Ability to scrub in sterile environment for undetermined time periods
• Must wear lead aprons weighing up to 5 lbs. for extended periods
• Assist with patient transfers to/from stretcher/bed to procedure table with team assistance
• Monitor diagnostic cardiac catheter procedures and intervene appropriately during lethal arrhythmias
• Perform cardiac outputs, O2 saturations, and ACT measurements
• Calculate basic hemodynamic parameters and record catheterization events
• Demonstrate understanding of cardiac, vascular, respiratory, and renal physiology and pathology
• Recognize ECG waveform morphology, wave patterns, and their significance
• Must be comfortable working independently and within multidisciplinary team
• High school diploma or equivalent required with graduate degree from accredited Allied Health Sciences program
