Accounting Clerk

• 9 paid holidays per year
• 3 weeks of PTO per year (on top of holidays).  PTO increases to 4 weeks/year after 2 years of employment, and then to 5 weeks/year after 5 years of employment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Prepare journal entries for month-end closing process
• Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts
• Assist in all audits providing supporting documentation
• Provide back-up support in Accounts Payable and Payroll

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of bookkeeping/general accounting
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to manage time and resources
• Ability to speak coherently and convey concepts
• Computer proficiency required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Minimum three (3) years of bookkeeping/general accounting experience required.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL SKILLS:

• Ability to write accurately and legibly

• Ability to sit at a desk and view a display screen for extended periods of time

• Ability to bend, stoop and reach

• Ability to sit in meetings for extended periods of time

• Ability to move throughout program facilities both indoors and outdoors

• Ability to lift and carry 10 pounds

• Good hearing and vision

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must pass a level II background check (https://info.flclearinghouse.com) and drug screen.
• Must have a valid driver's license or state ID card.
