Harney District Hospital is seeking an imaging Patient Services Representative to join their Imaging Team. This position will be a full-time position, working five 8-hour days per week. The main responsibility for this position will be to secure referrals or prior-authorizations and schedule patients. Required Skills and Abilities:

One year plus experience with referrals and authorizations in a medical office preferred.

Education and Experience:

Previous experience working directly with the public and/or in a medical environment. Knowledge of basic medical terminology and medical coding. Experience communicating with people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. Knowledge of general office practices, computer/data entry procedures, operation of office equipment, use of telephone systems, arithmetic, spelling, English and grammar. General knowledge of confidentiality concepts and requirements. Ability to communicate effectively with public, insurance companies, and staff both orally and in writing. Equivalent to a high school education and six (6) months related experience, or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the above duties.
