Job Summary
The Production Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating production operations, managing team performance, optimizing equipment uptime, and ensuring that all processes are followed to achieve consistent, high-quality output during each shift.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and manage daily and long-term production schedules
- Assess production requirements, workforce needs, and resource availability
- Estimate, negotiate, and establish budgets and timelines with internal teams and clients
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory guidelines
- Establish and maintain quality control standards to support consistent product quality
- Oversee and monitor all production processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
- Adjust or renegotiate schedules and timelines as needed based on operational demands
- Select, order, and manage inventory of materials required for production
- Coordinate and oversee routine maintenance and repairs of production equipment to minimize downtime

- Collaborate with purchasing, marketing, sales, and other departments to support productions needs
- Supervise, train, and develop junior staff to ensure strong performance and continuous improvement
- Organize and facilitate training sessions relevant to production processes and safety
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in organizational development, business administration, or related field preferred; or equivalent demonstrated in knowledge, skills and experience
- 5+ years’ experience in a Production Management/Supervisor role
- Experience leading successful teams of people
- Proven experience in negotiating outcomes that align with organizational strategies
- Experience leading large projects for continuous improvement and organizational growth
- Strong custom service skills with proven experience in conflict resolution
- Strong computer skills with working Knowledge of Microsoft Office software and enterprise resource planning, and customer relationship management systems

- The noise level in the work environment is very loud
- The building is heated during the winter, but conditions could be cold in the winter and hot during the summer
- The processing areas can be dirty and wet at times
- Processing facilities/areas are dusty
