Slitter/Overwrap Operator

Pay: $15.00 - $16.13 per hour

Overwrap: Day Shift 7:15am-7:15pm

Night Shift 7:15pm-7:15am.

Slitter: Day Shift 6:45am-6:45pm

Night Shift 6:45am-6:45pm.

Will work rotating 12-hour shifts 2/2/3. PPE is provided - ear plugs and gloves, no steel toes, just closed toed shoes, dress code will be provided by supervisor.

3 breaks - 2 15 minutes and 1 30-minute lunch.

Designated smoking areas.

Will be required to pass a basic math test during orientation, if you fail math test, you will not move forward with orientation.

Looking for people with basic math skills, must speak English and ability to lift up to 50lbs, no interview required.

Day Shift Overwrap $15/hr.
Day Shift Slitter $15/hr.

Night Shift Slitter $16.13
Day Shift Slitter Operator - More Skilled $15 - 3 weeks of training $17- 520 hours TTH $20/hr. These are skilled machine operator positions and will require an interview.
All night shifts are 7.5% shift diff of day shift pay rate.
Orientations will take place weekly on Mon/Wed/Fri at 6:30AM and 6:30PM 1 1/2 hours then you will start your shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Slitter):

-Operate Slitter to production, waste, and quality standards

-Keep updated and thorough production reports

-Maintain the process and take note of malfunctions in the equipment and product, correcting them as needed

-Ensure safety

-Properly document, set up and handle the raw materials in preparation for the process

-Document, separate, label and handle any process waste, recyclables, and product after the process

-Prepare, place and remove paper rolls as necessary for the process

-Verify that production quantity meets customer needs

Essential Duties and Responsibilities(Overwrap):

-Operate/Monitor Overwrap equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops

-Adjust machines as needed for changeovers, different functions or other varying needs of production

-Conduct quality checks periodically

-Read the job jacket to ensure correct product is used

-Observe and monitor input/output, accuracy, and efficiency of machine

-Check the expansion symbol to ensure the form is for the correct project

-Ensure the counts are accurate

-Keep a daily activity log of production notes

-Ensure a clean, neat, and orderly work area

-Other duties may be assigned by supervisor
