Job Description
Interview and hiring to begin in January 2026. This position is primarily March through September, with general working hours of 9am-5pm Monday-Friday.
Who we are: We’re the West Michigan Whitecaps, Class High-A Minor League affiliate of the Detroit Tigers. The Whitecaps are in the FUN business and our mission is to provide affordable family entertainment that strengthens the West Michigan community. We create memorable experiences by offering a fun, friendly and inclusive environment.
Why we want you: You’re an enthusiastic, organized, and motivated person. You can manage your time well and aren’t afraid to ask questions. You can work independently or with others, each day is different! You love the satisfaction of crossing things off of lists and always try to have a positive attitude. You work hard and play nice, and appreciate a good joke.
Why you want to work here: Joining the Whitecaps means becoming part of a culture that values collaboration, creativity, and fun. In addition to working with an incredible team, you’ll enjoy perks like free baseball tickets, discounted food, and the opportunity to make a real impact on our operations and guest experiences.
What you’ll do: You’ll stock all concession areas for games and events and even assist with some suite level needs. You'll ensure all storage areas stay organized and rotated, while also receiving and inspecting deliveries. You will also work with the team to set up the ballpark for the season and shut everything down after the season. You will also work on cleaning and preventative maintenance projects throughout the season (even on days when there are no events!) -- and have a lot of fun doing it.
What you need: To succeed, you’ll need to be at least 16 years old with a valid driver’s license (and a work permit if under 18), bring strong multitasking and organization skills, and be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds. Terrific attention to detail and excellent communication skills are key. A positive attitude and enthusiasm for the Whitecaps brand are essential. You’ll need a willingness to work nights, holidays and weekends.
Let’s do this: If this sounds like the perfect fit, submit your resume. We can’t wait to hear from you!
