Production Expeditor

Job Title: Production Expeditor
Reports to: Production Manager
Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours/week (may include overtime as needed)
Location: Naperville, IL
Pay: $50,000-$60,000

The Production Expeditor is responsible for monitoring and coordinating jobs throughout the manufacturing process to ensure timely completion and shipment. This role works closely with production leadership to track schedules, communicate updates, and manage material flow across departments. The Production Expeditor also assists with rush orders and ensures efficient use of consumables to support smooth operations.

• Coordinate with Production Manager and Production Leads to provide updates on schedules, job status, and production needs.

• Monitor and expedite jobs through the manufacturing floor to meet shipping deadlines and report progress to management.

• Communicate process issues, material shortages, or production delays to the Production Manager.

• Facilitate internal movement of materials between departments to maintain workflow continuity.

• Prioritize and expedite rush and special orders as required.

• Track and manage consumable materials to support production efficiency.

• Perform other tasks as needed to support operational requirements.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in production planning, scheduling, or expediting in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Dependable, self-motivated, and high-energy.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

• Basic PC skills, including proficiency with MRP systems, Excel, and Word.
