Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Certified Scrub Technician to join a collaborative and mission-driven surgical team. In this role, you will ensure safe and sterile setup and handling of surgical instrumentation for both scheduled and emergency procedures. Responsibilities include preparing instruments and supplies based on surgeon pick sheets, maintaining accuracy in procedural execution, and performing additional clerical and departmental duties as needed. This position requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to perform well under pressure while contributing to a positive patient care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile surgical equipment, trays, and instrumentation.
- Confirm required supplies and tools are available for each surgical procedure.
- Maintain accurate setup and procedural support throughout surgeries.
- Communicate effectively with surgical teams, hospital staff, medical personnel, and vendor representatives.
- Perform additional administrative or department-related tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program.
- Current ORT certification.
- Minimum of 2 years Operating Room experience required.
- Current BCLS certification.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Active and valid state license.
