Job Description

We are currently seeking support within our employee benefits and administration team.The ADA Accommodations Specialist serves as the subject matter expert responsible for the end-to-end administration of disability-related accommodation inquiries, ensuring compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA) and organizational policy.
salary: $31 - $34 per hourshift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities
Principal Duties and Job Responsibilities
- Serve as the expert regarding employment laws related to the ADA
- Review the eligibility and availability of federal, state, and company leave time (including FMLA, etc.) for team members requesting ADA-covered leave
- Accurately document all ADA cases in accordance with legal compliance requirements
- Liaise with Risk Management, Employee Relations, Leave Administration Vendor, and Talent Acquisition regarding worker’s compensation intersections, unauthorized absences, or accommodation denials
- Manage the interactive process between the team member, facility leaders, and the attending physician by reviewing clinical documentation and facilitating accommodation discussions
Job Qualifications
- Two (2) years of related experience in support of ADA accommodations in a Human Resources team environment
- Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state regulations surrounding ADAAA, FMLA, HIPAA, ERISA, OSHA, USERRA, IRS, and DOL
- Experience with Human Capital Management (HCM) systems, specifically PeopleSoft, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools
