Job Description
Step into a life-changing opportunity as a Registered Nurse specializing in CVICU in Saint Louis, Missouri, where every shift is a chance to directly influence recovery after complex cardiac surgery. In this high-acuity environment, your expertise in critical care nursing will help patients move from the edge of uncertainty toward steady progress, guided by a cohesive team that values precision, compassion, and resilience. If you’re driven by patient outcomes and the thrill of advanced cardiovascular care, this role invites you to bring your skills to a city that blends Midwestern hospitality with world-class medical resources. And when you’re ready for a change of scenery, Missouri’s diverse landscapes—from riverfront vistas to forested parks and vibrant cultural districts—offer moments of reprieve and inspiration outside the unit.

Working in Saint Louis provides access to renowned medical centers, robust professional networks, and opportunities to collaborate with surgeons, perfusionists, and intensivists who push the boundaries of cardiac care. You’ll benefit from the city’s affordable living, rich culinary scene, and family-friendly neighborhoods. For those who relish variety, this assignment can evolve into experiences in other U.S. locations within our nationwide healthcare partnership, expanding your clinical exposure while maintaining the same supportive travel framework.

As a CVICU RN on this travel assignment, you will monitor post-operative cardiac patients, titrate vasoactive medications, interpret complex hemodynamics, manage invasive lines and arterial pressures, and coordinate weaning from cardiopulmonary support as patients stabilize. You’ll participate in rapid response scenarios, partner with multidisciplinary teams on care plans, and document meticulously to ensure continuity of care. The role offers professional growth through exposure to diverse surgical techniques, patient populations, and evolving best practices in cardiac-intensive care. The assignment carries no guaranteed hours, so you’ll have the flexibility to align shifts with your lifestyle while staying within a structured travel framework. We provide a competitive compensation package that includes a signing bonus, comprehensive housing assistance, and clear extension opportunities should you choose to extend in a location or transition to another assignment. You’ll also receive robust, 24/7 support from our dedicated travel team, ready to assist with onboarding, housing logistics, credentialing, and any on-site needs, so you can focus on delivering exceptional patient care. In addition, you can anticipate access to continuing education opportunities, certification reimbursement, health and wellness benefits, retirement planning options, and resources for family and dependents as you navigate assignments across sites.

Our company program emphasizes advancing your career through mentorship, cross-site collaboration, and leadership development, all within a culture that respects your expertise and well-being. You’ll find a supportive environment designed to recognize your contributions, cultivate professional growth, and empower you to expand your CVICU capabilities—from advanced hemodynamic monitoring to complex post-surgical trajectories—while maintaining work-life balance across assignments. The organization is committed to enabling you to build a durable, rewarding CVICU career through consistent feedback, skill-building, and opportunities to take on leadership roles or specialty certifications as you progress.

If you’re ready to bring your CVICU expertise to Saint Louis and beyond, apply today to join a team that prioritizes your professional development and well-being. This is your opportunity to contribute to life-changing cardiac care while advancing your career among peers who share your dedication and drive. Start date is February 9, 2026, with weeks-long engagement and a weekly pay range of $2,014 to $2,185, reflecting the scope of the assignment and the expertise you bring. Note: hours and pay rates are estimates and may vary; final compensation packages and guaranteed hours will be confirmed during the hiring process.
