Collections Agent

Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a motivated and goal-oriented Collections Agent to join their team. As a Collections Agent, you will be an essential part of the collections department supporting the company's efforts to maintain positive consumer relations and achieve financial goals. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a persuasive problem-solving ability, and a professional demeanor, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Collections Agent

Location: Rocky Mount, NC

Pay Range: $18

Shift: 8:30am - 5:30pm, Monday through Friday

What's the Job?

• Make outbound and receive inbound calls to collect on past-due accounts.
• Negotiate payment plans and settlements within company guidelines.
• Document all communications accurately and thoroughly in the system.
• Research and resolve consumer disputes and inquiries.
• Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly collection goals.

What's Needed?

• Prior experience in collections, customer service, or call center preferred.
• Strong negotiating and conflict-resolution skills.
• Empathetic yet assertive communicator.
• Ability to multi-task while navigating computer systems and databases.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and collection/accounting software.
