Job Overview
An Occupational Therapist is needed to provide evaluation and treatment services in an outpatient rehabilitation setting. The OT will assess functional deficits, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver interventions aimed at improving independence, upper extremity function, and daily living skills. This role requires strong clinical judgment, documentation accuracy, and effective collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Complete OT evaluations and craft individualized treatment plans.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve ADLs, UE function, coordination, and overall safety.
- Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, daily treatment notes, and progress updates in accordance with regulatory and facility standards.
- Educate patients and families on home programs, adaptive equipment use, and functional strategies.
- Collaborate with PT, SLP, and other interdisciplinary clinicians to support coordinated care.
- Modify treatment plans as needed based on patient progress and clinical presentation.
Requirements
- Active South Dakota OT license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start).
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Outpatient experience preferred but not required.
- Strong communication, time-management, and clinical reasoning abilities.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team
