Restaurant Sanitation

Position Summary:

The Sanitation Specialist ensures the restaurant maintains the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety. This role is essential for creating a safe dining environment for guests and a healthy workspace for staff.

Key Responsibilities:

· Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces according to health and safety regulations.

· Sweep, mop, and disinfect floors in kitchen, storage, and dining areas.

· Empty and clean trash bins; dispose of waste in compliance with local regulations.

· Maintain restrooms in a clean and stocked condition.

· Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and sanitation chemicals.

· Follow proper food handling and storage procedures to prevent contamination.

· Assist with deep cleaning tasks, including grease trap maintenance and vent hood cleaning.

· Report any maintenance or safety issues to management promptly.

Qualifications:

· Previous experience in sanitation, janitorial, or kitchen cleaning preferred.

· Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, safety data sheets (SDS), and safe handling procedures.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift up to 50 lbs.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

· Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Work Environment:

· Exposure to hot, humid, and wet conditions.

· Standing, bending, and moving for extended periods.
