Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Patient Access Specialist to join our team in East China, Michigan. In this long-term contract role, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless patient registration and access processes while delivering exceptional customer service. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate medical billing and insurance procedures effectively.
Responsibilities:
• Manage patient registration processes, including verifying information and ensuring accuracy.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls to assist patients with scheduling, insurance inquiries, and billing concerns.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to optimize protocols and ensure efficient operations.
• Provide support for financial procedures such as deductible calculations and copays.
• Maintain accurate documentation and labeling within computer systems.
• Assist patients with understanding medical coverage and resolving access-related issues.
• Perform receptionist duties, including greeting patients and directing them as needed.
• Execute clerical tasks such as typing, filing, and protocol management.
• Ensure compliance with clinical trial operations and related procedures.
• Support ad hoc financial and administrative tasks as required.
• Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare setting.• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in handling medical billing and insurance processes.
• Ability to manage scheduling and patient inquiries efficiently.
• Familiarity with computer systems and call center operations.
• Knowledge of clinical protocols and documentation procedures.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Capability to assist patients with insurance coverage and access-related concerns.
