Certified Surgical Tech (CST) - General Surgery

Schedule: Days | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Shift & Schedule

• Days: Monday–Friday
• Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (8-hour shifts)
• Weekends: Every 3rd weekend
• On-Call: 2–3 nights per week

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical environment.
• Anticipate surgeon and procedural needs throughout operative cases.
• Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgery.
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, RNs, and anesthesia staff.
• Ensure safety, quality, and adherence to hospital and regulatory guidelines.
• Support the mission, vision, and values of Weeks Medical Center.

Qualifications

Required:

• Graduate of an ARC/STA–accredited Surgical Technology program
• Active BLS (AHA) certification
• NBSTSA certification within one year of hire (must maintain throughout employment)
• Candidates with U.S. Armed Forces surgical tech training will be considered

Preferred:

• 2+ years of recent acute-care scrubbing experience

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand/walk for long periods
• Ability to lift/carry up to 25 lbs
• Manual dexterity, hand/eye coordination
• Comfortable working in a high-stress, fast-paced environment
• Potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens and chemicals

Compensation

• Hourly Rate: Based on experience – submit best rate
