Tax Reporting Specialist III

We are looking for a skilled Tax Reporting Specialist III to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, you will independently oversee tax filings and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while maintaining accuracy and timeliness. This is a long-term contract position, offering an opportunity to mentor other specialists and contribute to the success of our tax reporting operations.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare, manage, and analyze complex reports related to tax returns and compliance requirements.
• Review and interpret financial data for tax deposit calculations and return preparation.
• Gather and validate data from various sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Conduct detailed analyses of incoming information, identifying and escalating issues as needed.
• Lead the year-end tax reporting process and assist with monthly journal entry preparation.
• Review basic tax returns completed by other team members to ensure quality and compliance.
• Utilize advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook to perform reporting tasks efficiently.
• Adapt to flexible working hours, including nights, weekends, or holidays, to meet business needs.
• Collaborate with management to address complex tax-related issues and provide actionable insights.• High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in tax reporting processes.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Demonstrated ability to generate and review technical reports for quality and compliance.
• Capability to work independently, as well as mentor and guide other team members.
• Ability to perform detailed analyses and communicate findings effectively.
• Familiarity with tax accounting principles and practices.
• Comfortable working in a role requiring prolonged sitting and repetitive tasks.
