Job Description
Works to ensure accuracy in materials inventory database, records, and information; identifies and reconciles discrepancies; coordinates data changes of materials inventory transactions; Coordinates and monitors parts in their areas to meet shop floor master schedule commitments; and monitors timeliness of computerized information to ensure accurate database for MRP explosion. Tasks will include:
1. Schedule, coordinate, and monitor the flow of incoming and outgoing material through designated M777 work centers and subcontractors to meet overall M777 PBLCS schedule commitments to our customers.
2. Meets with customer on a routine basis for planning updates and schedule changes.
3. Interfaces and coordinates supply activities with the customer, subcontractor, and BAE Systems to ensure timely support in accomplishment of the programs requirements.
4. Enters M777 overseas shipments into USG eTools database for shipping instructions request (SIR).
5. Monitor and maintains inventory accuracy for those work centers assigned.
6. Analyzes floor shortage reports to proactively identify shortages; work with Customer & subcontractor to implement.
7. During production and/or when schedules are changed by the customer, sorts, identifies, and notifies BAE and our subcontractor of the changes that are made.
8. For those work centers assigned, determines impact and coordinates and expedites timely disposition and turn-around of non-conforming material identified on the shop floor. Assists in determining alternatives.
9. Meets and communicates daily with management and/or Customers OTL(s) and/ or Materials Planners, along with our subcontractor, on the status of immediate production requirements from the customer.
10. Leads parts allocation review where materials supplied are inadequate to meet total demand for the customer. Identify the availability of critical replacement parts and facilitate the movement of those parts.
11. Represents the company at meetings and reviews with the customer and the subcontractor related to materials management.
12. Supports BAE Systems, subcontractor personnel and warehouse operations, and Customer in performance of other duties as assigned.
13. Maintains a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety objectives and policies.
14. Shares responsibility of self-development with immediate supervisor.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
High School Diploma or equivalent + additional 6 years experience; or Associate's degree + additional 2 years experience. Two years of Vocational or Military training + additional 2 years experience.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Relevant Associate's degree.
Relevant work experience in the defense industry.
Relevant work experience within BAE Systems.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $50899 - $81438
