Job Description
As a Plastipak Maintenance Technician, you have job stability. Plastipak is a strong & secure company in a high-demand industry. In this role, you'll maintain production lines that manufacture rigid plastic packaging for household brands and products that you use everyday.
Shift
- Nights: 6:45 pm – 7:15 am on a standard 3-2-2-3 schedule that includes 2 long-weekends every month

What You Will Do
Troubleshoot & repair machine & manufacturing equipment for your assigned production lines
Perform preventative maintenance
Rebuild spare parts
Participate in changeovers
Complete trainings & earn certifications
What You Need
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
3 or more years of experience maintaining manufacturing machines & equipment
Solid hydraulics, pneumatics & electrical working knowledge
Strong troubleshooting & problem-solving ability
Ability to read & interpret technical & operational documents (manuals, blueprints, schematics)
Your own tried & true tools (wrenches, screw drivers, sockets, ratchet sets, etc.).
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work on aerial platforms up to 20 feet with or without a reasonable accommodation
You should be proficient in:
- PLC Troubleshooting Skills
- Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills
- Preventive Maintenance & Inspection
- Electrical Troubleshooting
- Pneumatics Troubleshooting
- Maintenance and Repair Skills
Machines & technologies you'll use:
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFD)
- Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)
