Job Summary:

The CT Scan Technologist performs complex computer tomography procedures, producing sectional and three-dimensional images for interpretation. Assists with interventional and therapeutic procedures while ensuring patient safety and care.

Responsibilities:

• Perform complex CT procedures and evaluate radiographs for diagnostic value using PACS.
• Review and document patient clinical history, ensuring accuracy in PACS and EPIC systems.
• Prepare, screen, and review contrast questionnaires with patients or family members.
• Administer contrast media as prescribed and determine appropriate type and dose.
• Verify exam prescriptions and communicate with physicians for clarifications or modifications.
• Obtain and schedule outside studies for comparison in PACS.
• Provide exam copies to patients and requesting physicians.
• Prepare patients for scanning, including shielding and immobilization devices.
• Perform venipuncture, IV patency, and maintenance procedures.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions during procedures.
• Adhere to hospital policies, including attendance, punctuality, and standards of behavior.
• Lift a minimum of 25 lbs., push/pull a minimum of 50 lbs., and stand for at least 6 hours per shift.
• Modify care to meet the specific needs of diverse patient populations.
• Work scheduled shifts, including holidays and weekends, with overtime as needed.

Schedule: Night shift (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 5x8-hour shifts, every third weekend, holidays as needed, no on-call.
