CRNA - Anesthesiology job available in Newport News, Virginia

Opportunity Highlights

• Schedule: 8 hour shifts, Regular Hours, No Call
• Job Setting: Peninsula Surgery Center, 3 Anesthesia Rooms, Epic charting system
• Types of Cases: General, Pediatrics, healthy urology, GYN, and General cases, ASA 1-2, healthy peds
• Credentialing: 90 days

Minimum Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible: Yes
• Certifications: Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
• Licensure: Current license as a registered professional nurse, VA license (willing to accept candidates that need to obtain state license)
• Education: Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education

Responsibilities

• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed
