Job Summary
The Workers’ Compensation Associate Attorney will represent employers and insurers before the Rhode Island Workers’ Compensation Court, managing hearings, depositions, and case strategy from start to finish. Responsibilities
- Represent clients in hearings before the Rhode Island Workers’ Compensation Court
- Conduct depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations
- Draft motions, pleadings, and case summaries
- Analyze medical and employment documentation to support case strategy
- Communicate regularly with clients and internal teams regarding case progress
- Manage an independent caseload while maintaining high ethical and professional standards
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) and admission to the Rhode Island Bar (in good standing)
- 1–5 years of experience in workers’ compensation or related litigation
- Strong courtroom presence and ability to handle hearings independently
- Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Sound professional judgment and a commitment to quality client service
