**Senior Design Engineer - Electrical Penetration** Our Nuclear Division business unit in Middleburg Heights, Ohio is growing! We are looking to add a Senior Design Engineer to our team! As a Sr Design Engineer, you will be focused on supporting the full life cycle of the Electrical Penetration product lines. **Location:** Middleburg Heights, Ohio (onsite) **Salary:** $101,600 – $120,000 annually _Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline only, reflecting a position based in Ohio. Criteria such as the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer._ **Your Challenge:** + Creates, develops, and modifies designs to meet customer specs and needs. + Provides detailed drawings using SolidWorks software from sketches, layouts or notes. + Addresses complex design challenges and analyzes technical issues. + Troubleshoots and revises designs based on testing results and customer feedback. + Based on technical experience, suggests design modifications to facilitate improvements in product design, quality and for manufacturing ability. + Checks drawing plots versus the project input for correctness and conformance to standards. + Works with engineers regarding model accuracy, design, drafting standards and ECN/ECR documentation. + Verifies completed work, checking dimensions, material and quantities to be used. + May work with system management including file maintenance, backup and storage. + Prepare documents such as assembly procedures, test procedures, installation manuals, etc. + Enters drawing Bill of Materials into ERP System. **Your Expertise:** + Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering + 6+ years work experience in similar role + Proficient in SolidWorks or other modeling software + Knowledge of following standards: + ASME Code + ISO + ASTM + ANSI + Drawing Standards: ASME Y134.1/Y14.5, GD&T + Knowledgeable in the following technical areas is a plus: + Product design & Development + Mechanical Seals + Welding + Brazing + NDE + Electrical Power + Nuclear Power + Equipment programming **Who We Are:** Our Values (https://www.curtisswright.com/company/sustainability/core-values/default.aspx) Environmental, Social and Governance Curtiss-Wright's Nuclear Division offers a comprehensive range of products, information systems, and services that help sustain the safe and reliable operation of nuclear, conventional, and renewable power plants throughout the world.
