Topaz, a respected Nursing Home Financial Services company serving multiple long-term care facilities, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing Specialist to join our team in Mill Basin, Brooklyn. The ideal candidate will be proactive, analytical, and comfortable managing purchasing operations in a fast-paced healthcare finance environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and process purchase orders for nursing home facilities.
Source and maintain vendor relationships to ensure best pricing and quality.
Review invoices, packing slips, and contracts for accuracy and compliance.
Track and manage inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed.
Collaborate with facility administrators and department heads on procurement needs.
Maintain detailed purchasing and vendor records.
Assist with cost control initiatives and identify potential savings opportunities.
Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain (healthcare or multi-facility experience required).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and purchasing software systems.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
