Job Description
Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years X-Ray experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A skilled radiologic technologist opportunity is available for a contract position in Hogansburg, NY, supporting a busy general radiology department. This role involves providing essential imaging services across a broad patient population, ranging from newborns to geriatric individuals, in a facility known for comprehensive inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department care.
Responsibilities include performing a wide variety of diagnostic X-ray exams such as abdomen (decubitus, supine, upright), chest (AP, lateral decubitus, routine), upper airway, facial bones, skeletal imaging (ankle, femur, knee, pelvis, spine, etc.), trauma cases, and specialized fluoroscopy exams including UGI, SBFT, barium studies, joint injections, and myelograms. In addition, support for operating room C-arm procedures and portable imaging are integral to the role. The position operates within a level III trauma center environment, requiring proficiency in adult acute care, pediatrics, emergency, ICU, and infection prevention protocols.
Key Qualifications- Minimum 1 year of radiologic technologist experience
- ARRT Registered Technologist (R)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Valid New York State Radiologic Technologist license
- Familiarity with PACS systems and techniques in radiation safety and isolation precautions
- Experience or willingness to work with FUJI fluoro room, Konica Minolta U-arm, and Siemens C-arms
- Ability to cover weekend rotations typically every fourth weekend
- Monday through Friday, 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM
- Weekend rotation every 4th weekend
- Orientation: One-week training with 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
