Business Ιntelligence Analyst - Full-time

TERNA ENERGY, a member of the MASDAR Group, is seeking a:
Βusiness Ιntelligence Analyst

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for data analysis and developing dashboards & reports in Power BI.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into effective data models and visualizations. Apply optimal BI principles to ensure clarity, scalability, and reliability of reports.
• Leverage strong technical skills and business understanding to extract meaningful insights from the operational data of the Group’s RES facilities (wind, solar, hydroelectric, biogas, BESS).
• Establish database connections (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and retrieve data by using SQL queries.
• Contributes to strategic decision-making through insightful visualizations and data analysis.
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses and prepare Excel reports to address business questions.
• Create, validate, and oversee data flows (ETL/ELT) in Power BI Service, ensuring timely and reliable data updates.
• Contribute to improving data quality, accuracy, and accessibility by working closely with data engineering.
• Develop data dictionaries and documentation for BI assets.
• Train and support users in utilizing BI reports and performing data analysis.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics
• 3 years of experience in similar positions
• Experience in business environments (preferably in the Energy sector)
• Experience with BI tools (Power BI)
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and Excel
• Knowledge of Python for data analysis is desirable
• Excellent command of the English language (spoken & written)
