Senior Accountant

T-SEZ, our accounting and business consulting firm based in Peristeri, Attica, is looking for a Senior Accountant for full-time employment, to manage and oversee the accounting cycle of a portfolio of businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining single-entry and double-entry accounting records for a portfolio of clients
• Recording accounting documents and performing reconciliations (banks, cash, customers, and suppliers)
• Preparing and submitting tax filings, including VAT, withholding taxes, VIES, Intrastat, municipal taxes, and income tax
• Monitoring and transmitting invoices through myDATA, resolving any discrepancies
• Preparing financial statements and internal management reports
• Managing statutory obligations related to GEMI and the Bank of Greece
• Communicating with clients to collect documentation, provide updates, and offer accounting and tax support
• Participating in advisory projects and strategic tax planning
• Mentoring and supporting junior members of the accounting team
• Monitoring changes in tax legislation and keeping the team informed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a University or Technological Institute in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
• Proven experience in a similar role within an accounting department or accounting firm
• Strong knowledge of accounting and tax procedures
• Experience with ERP systems and the myDATA platform
• Good command of MS Office, especially Excel
• Strong organizational skills, consistency, and attention to detail
• Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills
