American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with at least 3 years of experience, Level I or II trauma background, and demonstrated proficiency with the da Vinci Xi robotic surgical system for a 13-week travel assignment.
Details- Acute care hospital OR setting
- Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (7:00–17:30)
- Must be available for on-call shifts, with 2–3 call shifts per 6-week schedule and a 30-minute response time required
- Weekend shifts required: 3–4 per 6-week schedule, and may fall on days, evenings, or nights
- Holiday coverage required on an as-needed basis across all shifts
- Floating required on an as-needed basis
- Must be proficient in multiple surgical specialties: robotics, orthopedics, general surgery, GYN, urology, bariatrics, ENT, plastics, vascular, and thoracic (excluding cardiac and open heart)
- 13-week contract
- Active PA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Minimum 3 years of OR RN experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Level I or Level II trauma experience required (minimum 1 year)
- Proficiency with the da Vinci Xi robotic surgical system required; familiarity with the da Vinci 5 (DV5) is a strong plus
- Ability to function independently in all required surgical specialties without refresher training
- Ability to both scrub and circulate preferred
- Candidates undergo a clinical pre-screening review prior to manager consideration; a manager interview is required
- The facility uses da Vinci Xi and da Vinci 5 robots only — experience with orthopedic or neuro robots is not applicable to this role
- May care for COVID-positive patients
- This is a tobacco-free and fragrance-free facility
- RTO requests must be submitted upfront; maximum 7 days allowed for the contract
