American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift assignment requiring at least 1 year of L&D experience and a CA RN license.
Details\n- \n
- Acute care hospital setting with 200 staffed beds \n
- Labor and Delivery unit with 1:2 patient ratios \n
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) \n
- Weekend shifts required \n
- Floating between like units required \n
- Epic EMR used and required \n
- Royal blue scrubs required for RN staff; scrubs provided for L&D \n
- \n
- Active CA RN license (compact license accepted, must be in hand at submission) \n
- Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience required \n
- Required certifications: BLS and NRP \n
- Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, and AWHONN Intermediate \n
- Epic charting experience required \n
- Proficiency in fetal monitoring, labor management, and postpartum care procedures \n
- Experience with high-risk delivery, C-section circulation/scrub, and newborn care preferred \n
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required \n

- Provide comprehensive care across labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn stages \n
- Perform skills such as fetal monitoring, medication administration (Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, etc.), and assisting with vaginal and cesarean deliveries \n
- Support lactation, newborn assessments, and discharge teaching for new parents \n
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply \n
- Locals accepted within a 50-mile radius, at a lower bill rate \n
- Former permanent employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they live outside a 50-mile radius \n
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) \n
- RTO must be submitted at time of application; post-offer time off requests may not be accommodated \n
- Free parking available on-site \n
