Carolina Clinic for Health and Wellness is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our growing healthcare team. This role is ideal for a Medical Assistant who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is passionate about supporting high-quality clinical care across primary care, internal medicine, gynecology, and urgent care services.

Responsibilities

  • Assist providers during patient exams and clinical procedures
  • Prepare patients for X-rays and other diagnostic testing
  • Record accurate patient histories, vital signs, and clinical information
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by providers
  • Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked examination rooms
  • Manage and update patient medical records within the EHR system
  • Provide patient education regarding treatment plans and health conditions
  • Triage patients and support urgent care needs as required
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality care


Qualifications

  • Certification or diploma in Medical Assisting or a related field preferred
  • Previous experience in medical-surgical, internal medicine, gynecology, geriatrics, inpatient, or urgent care settings strongly desired
  • Solid understanding of basic physiology and internal medicine principles
  • Familiarity with medical coding and documentation standards
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first mindset
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems preferred
