Job Summary:
The Assembly Operator is responsible for the Assembly of lighting fixtures and fixture components utilizing small hand tools, along with labeling, counting and packaging products according to designated metrics and KPIs.
Responsibilities:
- Hold responsibility for basic to complex assembly of lighting fixtures weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Proper use of hand tools such as power assisted screwdriver and socket wrench.
- Wiping down and inspecting product components. Disassembly of returned units as needed.
- Report defective material or products in questionable condition to Supervisor.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Ensure organized, clean and safe warehouse environment in accordance with requirements and training provided.
- Verify quantity of components, counting and verification of box amounts.
- Trouble shoot and inspection of goods and materials.
- Applying UL and daycode labels to finished goods.
- Maintain sufficient levels of supplies by ordering through the team Supervisor.
- Contribute to completion of year-end inventory audit as needed.
Requirements:
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
- Strong hand/eye coordination and fine motor skills used in performing repeated tasks.
- Ability to work independently and with others.
- Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to use small hand-held power assisted tools such as screwdriver.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the warehouse and the facility.
The expected compensation is $22.00 - $23.00 per hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors allowed by law.
