Job Description

The Lead Maintenance Electrician plays a pivotal role in overseeing maintenance operations within the stamping department. This position involves directing a small team of skilled technicians, ensuring machinery reliability, and executing complex mechanical and electrical repairs to maintain efficient production equipment operation.


Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on stamping presses, conveyors, robotics, and manufacturing machinery.
  • Conduct routine preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on all systems and equipment.
  • Execute electrical inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Operate in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to safety standards.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair stamping presses and related equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous production.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, actuators, and communication networks.
  • Assist with die changes, press adjustments, and tooling alignment.
  • Support press operators during setup, ensuring proper alignment.


Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of experience as maintenance electrician within manufacturing setting.
  • Extensive knowledge in PLCs, with Siemens systems preferred.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting PLCs, sensors, actuators, and communication networks.
  • Experience with robotic troubleshooting and editing (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, or similar).


Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Vocational training or journeyman-level certification preferred.
  • Experience with hydraulic systems and press maintenance.
  • Familiarity with Allen Bradley/Siemens PLC, Fanuc robotics, and control systems.
