Break Press Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Brake Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining brake press machines to bend, form, and fabricate metal components according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate brake press machines to bend and form metal parts per blueprints and work orders.

Select proper tooling and adjust machine settings for material type and thickness.

Inspect finished parts for accuracy using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).

Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor machine issues.

Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.

Complete production documentation and quality checks as required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience operating a brake press or similar metal fabrication equipment preferred.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Strong mechanical skills and attention to detail.

Knowledge of safety practices in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to lift up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs] and stand for extended periods.
