American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level 1 Trauma and Burn Center in Springfield, MO, requiring at least 1 year of ED experience in a Level 1 or 2 trauma facility.

- Evening/night shift position, 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM \n
- 13-week contract \n
- 68-bed Emergency Department at a Level 1 Trauma & Burn Center, Level 2 Stroke Center, and regional burn center \n
- Serves a high-acuity, high-volume urban trauma population including trauma, stroke, STEMI, and burn patients, with 200+ patients per day \n
- Routine patient ratio of 4:1, subject to change based on census and surge \n
- EMR: Epic \n
- Weekend hours required as determined by facility \n
- No float or on-call requirements \n
- Block scheduling cannot be accommodated \n
- \n
- Active MO RN license or Compact RN license eligible for Missouri at time of consideration \n
- Valid U.S. Social Security Number required \n
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC; NIHSS certification required prior to start \n
- Minimum 1 year of ED experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility, or minimum 2 years of ED experience in a Level 2 Trauma facility; experience level must be reflected on resume \n
- No employment gaps of 90 or more days within the past 12 months \n
- Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the shift; must be able to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs and pinch up to 15 lbs \n
- No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment unless documented renewal is scheduled \n

- Performs direct patient care for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation across a busy urban trauma environment \n
- Coordinates patient care activities with ancillary and other departments to optimize patient outcomes \n
- Trauma and pediatric experience, along with high-acuity and high-volume ED experience, is preferred \n
- Black scrubs required; jeans and unprofessional attire are not permitted \n
- Flu vaccination or Mercy-approved exemption is required for assignments running November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted \n
- RTO of up to 5 days is allowed but must be made up during the assignment; RTO will not be approved during the first week of the assignment; only 1 holiday RTO request is permitted per assignment \n
- Night shift orientation is conducted on day shift; candidate must be available for the entire orientation week \n
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but are subject to a reduced bill rate \n
