• Strict 75-mile radius rule\n

  • Traveler must live 75+ miles from the hospital based on the address on their driver's license.
  \n
  • Driver's license address must be included in the submission email before the candidate can be considered.
  \n
\n
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
\n
• Minimum 1 prior travel assignment
\n

• AHA BLS
\n
• AHA NIHSS
\n

Unit Overview\n

\n
• 44-bed Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit
\n
• Approximately 40 staff members
\n
• Telemetry patients are monitored remotely on a separate unit
\n

Patient Ratios\n

\n
• Days: 1:5 (occasionally 1:6)
\n
• Nights: 1:5 (occasionally 1:6)
\n

Schedule\n

\n
• 12-hour shifts: 6:45 AM–7:15 PM or 6:45 PM–7:15 AM
\n
• Every other weekend
\n
• Holidays as needed
\n

EMR\n

\n
• Meditech (preferred but not required)
\n

Support Staff\n

\n
• CNA support available
\n
• Typical CNA ratio 1:8–1:10
\n
• CNAs also assist as patient sitters
\n

Floating\n

\n
• Required to float to:\n
  \n
  • Acute Care units
  \n
  • Cardiac units (medical patients)
  \n
  • Emergency Department for admitted patient holds
  \n
\n

Orientation\n

\n
• 1 week general orientation (includes EMR training)
\n
• 2 days unit-specific orientation
\n

Dress Code\n

\n
• Caribbean Blue scrubs
\n

Ideal Candidate\n

Travel RN with Med-Surg/Telemetry experience who is flexible with floating, comfortable caring for telemetry patients, and able to work in a busy acute care environment with strong teamwork and adaptability.
