Big Dog Construction is growing fast, and we are looking for an experienced, detail-driven Estimator/Sales Professional who can confidently perform take-offs, measurements, and produce accurate estimates for residential remodeling and addition projects.

We need someone efficient, reliable, and capable of owning this role from day one.


Responsibilities

• Perform accurate field measurements, site visits, and quantity takeoffs
  
  
• Prepare detailed estimates, scopes of work, and budgets for:
  
  
  • Home additions
    
    
  • Kitchens
    
    
  • Bathrooms
    
    
  • Interior renovations
    
    
  • Basements
    
    
• Review architectural plans, engineer drawings, and client sketches
  
  
• Determine material quantities, labor requirements, and subcontractor pricing
  
  
• Present estimates to clients and assist with sales process
  
  
• Work with the project management team to hand off approved jobs
  
  
• Maintain and update estimating templates, pricing, and cost databases
  
  
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, vendors, and team members
  
  

Requirements

• 2+ years of estimating experience in residential construction (required)
  
  
• Ability to complete accurate takeoffs and square footage calculations
  
  
• Strong understanding of residential building components, current pricing, and construction methods
  
  
• Proficiency with estimating software (Buildertrend, CoConstruct, Clear Estimates, PlanSwift, or similar)
  
  
• Ability to read architectural plans and structural drawings
  
  
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
  
  
• Excellent communication during client interactions
  
  
• High level of accuracy no close enough estimating
