What will you do as a PMC CT Tech

The CT Technologist is responsible for imaging anatomical information form a cross-sectional plane of the body, with each image generated by a computer synthesis of X-ray transmission data obtained in many different directions in a given plane. The CT Tech is also responsible for obtaining the patients' medical history, explaining standard procedures and addressing patient concerns.

A day in the life of a PMC CT Tech may include:

• Positioning patients for CT exam
• Explaining the procedure and obtaining patient consent
• Starts IV's and injecting contrast and dispensing oral contrast if needed.
• Evaluates CT images for technical quality.
• Prepares images for transmission to PACS, so radiologist can interpret the scans.
• Assist Radiologist with questions they may have regarding MIPS, 3D images, and reconstructions.
• Prepares CT orders, EMR notes, and checks lab values
• Order and charge entry for procedures
• Loading and operating power injectors for IV contrast media administration
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Associates degree in Applied Science or similar field required.
• Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a CT Tech preferred

Shift: Day Shift (Monday through Friday) no weekends or holidays

Pay Type: Hourly (Non-Exempt)
