Job Description
RICK’s Water Resources Division is seeking an Administrative Assistant in our San Diego office to provide high-level administrative support to technical staff in a busy consulting environment. The position will support with administrative functions, client deliverables, marketing materials, and other day-to-day needs. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment and who can manage multiple projects simultaneously. You will have an opportunity to work with a multi-disciplinary team on meaningful, landmark projects in the San Diego region. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform general administrative responsibilities in office and projects to support technical staff
- Assist with coordination of employee functions and events
- Type and layout general correspondence, memos, charts, tables, graphs, reports, proposals, and documents relating to clients, projects, and professional matters
- Produce technical graphics for reports and proposals (preferred)
- Proofread documents for spelling, grammar, and format consistency, making appropriate changes.
- Word and/or InDesign processing and assemble proposals and reports to meet project deadlines; coordinate and assist with reproduction needs, and other project related duties
- Assist in processing invoices, expense reports, and etc. as needed
- Assist in accomplishing various routine tasks when needed
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED and at least 2 years of administrative/office experience or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training (required)
- Typing 50 wpm with good grammar and spelling skills (required)
- Strong written and communication skills with ability to produce high-quality, professional documents.
- Advanced proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Graphic design skills and InDesign experience (preferred)
- Strong organizational skills

- Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required)
