Quality Assurance Technician I

JOB TITLE: QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN I

DEPARTMENT: QUALITY ASSURANCE

REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF QUALITY ASSURANCE

CLASSIFICATION: NON-EXEMPT

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Under direct supervision, the quality assurance technician I will perform and document inspections of manufacturing products and materials.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform inspection of manufactured parts and assemblies to provided data packages
• Document inspection results on approved forms
• Perform incoming inspection on raw material and outsourced processes
• Review and signoff on redlined drawings and engineering change requests
• Perform other duties as assigned

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma and 0-2 years of experience in manufacturing quality
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings
• Use of basic inspection tools (i.e. calipers / gauge blocks / thread gauges /micrometers)
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain results and methodologies
• Ability to obtain a security clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate’s degree in related field

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand at a workstation for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
