Forklift Operator

Clayton Services is searching for a Forklift Operator to join a thriving company in Cypress, Texas. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to move, organize, and manage products and materials within a warehouse environment.

*MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A BACKGROUND AND DRUG SCREENING BEFORE STARTING*

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $15.00-$17.00/hour, depending on experience

Schedule: Monday-Friday (must be available to work on Saturdays); Overtime available

Forklift Operator Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a forklift to move, load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility.
• Optimize and secure loads for safe and efficient transportation.
• Stack, stage, and organize inventory and materials in designated storage areas.
• Perform general warehouse tasks, including reporting, updating inventory, and maintaining records.
• Conduct routine pre- and post-operation inspections; maintain equipment cleanliness and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
• Follow all facility safety guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to support smooth warehouse operations.
• Assist with additional warehouse duties as assigned.

Forklift Operator Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to operate a forklift and stand-up pallet jack safely and efficiently.
• Strong organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with team members.
• Ability to judge distances and maneuver equipment in tight or crowded spaces.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods.

Forklift Operator Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license.
• 2–5 years of forklift experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
• Forklift Certification required.
• Previous OSHA training is a plus.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
