Surface Plate Quality Inspector - Machine Shop

We are a growing Rockwall, TX company that specializes in precision parts and are committed to quality, innovation, and continuous improvement. Seeking a detail-oriented Surface Plate uality Inspector/ CMM to lead our Machine Shop quality control efforts and supports our production teams in maintaining high-quality output. Must have background in surface plate inspections.

We ensure compliance with AS9100 standards and are a ISO 9001 certified CNC machine shop serving the Defense, Medical, Commercial, and Aerospace industries

Candidates must have surface plate inspection skills and PC-DMIS CMM programming experience.

✅ Requirements

• 2+ years of surface plate inspection experience (Required)

• 2+ years of PC-DMIS CMM programming experience (preferred)

• Strong GD&T and typing skills

• Experience in a machine shop environment

• Ability to communicate professionally with Aerospace Primes

Responsibilities

• Perform First Article Inspections (AS9100 3-page format)

• Create and manage quality documentation

• Use E2 Shop System ERP software

• Conduct surface plate inspections with micrometers, calipers, and height gauges

• Perform receiving inspections and OSP verification

• Program and operate CMM using PC-DMIS 2020 or newer

• Maintain Shop Travelers and calibration records

• Develop procedures and manage quality personnel

• Lead supplier evaluations and MRB meetings

• Track monthly quality metrics and initiate in-process inspection forms

• Manage RMA and CAR reports (vendor and customer)

• Support continuous improvement initiatives

• Evaluate procedures semi-annually

• Perform final inspections and spot checks

Quality Control Inspector $20 - $40 hrly - $50k- $85k annually

Both positions 40hr week with available OT
