American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position in Round Rock, TX, requiring a TX or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

- Work setting is a combined 32-bed Medical ICU and 16-bed Surgical Trauma ICU \n
- Patient ratios are 1:2 for ICU, 1:3 for IMC, and 1:1 for IABP, CRRT, Impella, and similar high-acuity interventions \n
- Unit is staffed with a Charge Nurse and Unit Clerk \n
- EMR is Cerner Powerchart (inpatient) \n
- Night shift: 18:45–07:15 \n
- Floating to an acute care unit or ED may be required based on staffing need \n
- 13-week contract \n

- Active TX RN license or compact RN license valid in Texas, required prior to start \n
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA accepted) \n
- Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required \n
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required \n
- Diploma or degree from an accredited nursing school, or active professional licensure at time of hire \n
- Valid US Social Security Number and US home address required \n
- Copies of Driver's License, certifications, and license verification (Nursys) required for consideration \n
- 2 professional references required for consideration \n
- Full DOB required for consideration \n

- Implements and monitors patient care plans, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate \n
- Serves as primary coordinator across disciplines to facilitate well-coordinated patient care \n
- Assesses and coordinates patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team \n
- Experience with CRRT, CABG, Trauma (TCAR/TNCC), and Impella is preferred \n
- Navy blue scrubs required \n
- COVID vaccination is not required \n
