Mill Operator

We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Mill Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will operate milling equipment to produce high-quality parts, maintain safe operations, and support efficient workflow on the shop floor. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work and takes pride in accuracy and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate mill machines to produce parts according to specifications.
• Load and unload raw materials, adjust machine settings, and monitor operations throughout each run.
• Read and interpret production drawings, instructions, and measurement specifications.
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision tools to ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain proper feeds and speeds for materials being processed.
• Identify basic machine issues, perform minor adjustments, and report mechanical problems to maintenance or supervision.
• Keep accurate records of production runs, material usage, and machine output.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety procedures, including PPE requirements.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating milling machines (manual or CNC) preferred.
• Ability to read shop drawings, work orders, and production specifications.
• Basic math and mechanical skills.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and reliability.

Preferred (Not Required)

• Experience in a metal fabrication or machining environment.
• Understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials.
• Forklift certification or experience handling heavy materials.
