Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Night shifts with weekends as scheduled
• Every other weekend requirement for travelers
• Weekend shifts for nights are Friday/Saturday/Sunday/Monday
• Self-scheduling allowed with block schedules accommodated when unit needs are met
• Average patient ratios 1:5 (can flex up to 1:6)
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA)
• Must be able to read cardiac strips and be comfortable with cardiac patients
• Required to titrate Heparin drips and occasionally Lasix or Bumex
• Must perform own admissions and discharges (8-12 per day)
• Required to perform EKGs when PCT unable to assist
• Floating requirements include rotation anywhere in hospital within skillset
• Royal blue scrubs required - scrub jackets must be actual scrub jackets, no hoodies
• Orientation includes 1 day computer training and 1 day floor shadowing with preceptor
• Care for post heart catheterization patients, CHF, COPD, post pacemaker patients, and cardiac arrhythmias
• EPIC charting system
• Unexpired driver's license copy required for submission
• Cancellation policy allows 2 shifts per 13-week assignment
