Job Summary:
The Mammography Technologist performs radiographic mammography procedures to produce high-quality diagnostic films for detecting breast tissue abnormalities. This role operates independently, requiring judgment, creativity, and initiative to perform a variety of procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• Demonstrates positioning competency.
• Knowledgeable about breast self-examinations, including answering questions and providing written materials to patients.
• Physical requirements: lifting, manual dexterity, pulling/pushing, seeing, speaking, standing, and walking.
• HS Diploma or GED.
• ARRT registration.
• Current Rad Tech license in the state of practice.
• Must meet and maintain ARRT Advanced Mammography Certification.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Must meet and maintain mammography-specific ACR FDA/MQSA requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Imaging or Mammography.

Additional Information:

• A personal radiation monitoring badge (dosimeter) is required for this assignment.
• Providers are encouraged to use an existing badge from a previous employer or assignment when available.
• If a new badge is issued, prior exposure history will not be reflected.
