This key leadership role is vital for shaping our client’s compensation philosophy and programs within the corporate environment. As the Director of Compensation, you will oversee the design, implementation, and management of comprehensive compensation strategies that attract, retain, and motivate top talent while ensuring internal equity and external competitiveness.

Your expertise will be instrumental in conducting market research, analyzing compensation trends, and developing innovative compensation solutions that align with organizational goals. You will lead a team of compensation professionals and partner closely with HR, finance, and senior leadership to develop policies and practices that support our organizational strategy and foster a high-performance culture. This role also involves providing guidance on executive compensation, incentive plans, and total rewards programs. Your commitment to data-driven decision-making and strategic insights will shape the future of compensation practices, ensuring they are fair, comprehensive, and aligned with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and execution of compensation strategies that align with the company’s mission and values.
  • Oversee compensation analytics to ensure internal equity and compliance with legal regulations.
  • Oversee market pricing, job evaluation, pay equity reviews, and annual compensation planning
  • Conduct market research and salary benchmarking to assess competitiveness of compensation packages.
  • Collaborate with executives and HR leaders to develop effective compensation programs that support business objectives.
  • Manage the administration of annual compensation planning processes, including merit increases and incentives.
  • Provide thought leadership in executive compensation and long-term incentives, ensuring alignment with performance metrics. Drive direction on the executive compensation committee.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing compensation team, fostering a culture of excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in compensation management, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of compensation principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Experience with job evaluation, salary benchmarking, and incentive compensation design.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and HRIS systems (Workday).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex compensation concepts to stakeholders.
  • CECP, CCP or like certifications a like to have.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
